Sam Allardyce reveals West Ham's disappointment despite Kevin Nolan's late equaliser snatching them a point against Sunderland.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has said that his players were left "disappointed" despite picking up a late draw against Sunderland at Upton Park.

Kevin Nolan netted a 93rd-minute equaliser to rescue the Hammers a point after Steven Fletcher had given Sunderland an early lead with his fourth goal in as many games since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

However, Allardyce has revealed that his side consider the result two points dropped rather than one gained bearing in mind the chances they produced.

"In terms of play and chances we created enough to get back into the game," Allardyce said.

"We had pinned them back and were waiting for the quality of finish and that came in injury time.

"Even in the dressing room the lads are disappointed considering the attempts on goal we had."

West Ham have picked up eight points from their opening five Premier League matches.
