Sam Allardyce: 'We need to be clinical'

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce believes that his side need to rediscover their clinical edge in front of goal to end their three-game winless run in the Premier League.

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has urged his side to find their clinical edge in front of goal to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Hammers have failed to register a victory in November in the top flight after an impressive start to the season, and Allardyce feels that his team can turn around their recent struggles by finding the net with regularity once again.

He told reporters: "We have to turn this slight blip around quickly. Winning games gives you the confidence you need and we haven't had that recently.

"We know if we're going to have to convert our performances into wins. The main thing we need to is to find our clinical finishing again. That was what was so good in the early part of the season."

Allardyce's men face Newcastle United in their Premier League clash at St James' Park later today.
