David Gold: West Ham United want "established" manager

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold reveals that the club are determined to bring in an "established" manager to replace Sam Allardyce.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has outlined the club's ambition to hire an "established" manager to replace Sam Allardyce.

The Hammers parted company with the 60-year-old at the end of the season as the club finished in 12th place in the Premier League.

Gold has revealed that West Ham are aiming to bring a manager that has had experience and success in the leading divisions in world football.

He told the club's official website: "We would like someone who has managed successfully in one of the major leagues in the world.

"We want to bring in an established manager who has been there and done it."

West Ham have been linked with Marcelo Bielsa and Slaven Bilic in their hunt for a new manager.
