Kevin Nolan: 'There's no need for an apology'

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan doesn't feel that the club need to apologise to their supporters for their performance this season.

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan believes that there is no reason to apologise to supporters for the club's performance this season.

The Hammers struggled for the first few months of the campaign and were in the bottom three in December.

However, a good run of form earlier in the year moved them away from the drop zone and the club will now finish comfortably in mid-table.

Nolan told reporters: "I think this season has been a testing season for us all. It is the owner's prerogative to say what he wants, the way he sees it.

"But I think if he looks back on this season, he will see how difficult it has been. It has been a tough old season, I am not going to deny that. But I don't think there is a need to apologise to the fans.

"If you speak to the fans, I don't think they would want an apology. The minority might, the majority won't."

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce will reportedly be sacked by the club's owners next week.
