West Ham United prepared to take FA to court over Andy Carroll incident?

West Ham United are reportedly prepared to take the FA to the High Court if they fail to rescind Andy Carroll's straight red card.

West Ham United are reportedly preparing to take legal action against the Football Association if they fail to rescind Andy Carroll's red card.

The 25-year-old was sent off for appearing to swing his arm across the top of Chico Flores's head in a challenge during the Hammers' 2-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday.

Reports have claimed that the Premier League side will appeal against the straight red, which implies an automatic three-match ban.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham may take their case to the High Court if their appeal is unsuccessful as they believe that the FA's appeals system is flawed under European Law.

The Hammers currently sit third from bottom in the league table.
