West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has claimed that Mark Noble's contract demands will be the only reason for the midfielder to leave the club.
Noble is currently negotiating a new deal to stay at Upton Park and Allardyce admits that he is worried the 25-year-old could join another club on a free transfer.
"I hope it doesn't get to that situation with Mark Noble and it is something that can be resolved so that he stays as a West Ham player," Allardyce revealed.
"Talks have been ongoing since the end of the season and they are continuing to try to negotiate a new contract. The only reason he won't be here is if he asks for too much.
"I hope it doesn't get to that."
Noble was reportedly close to jining Fulham before the end of the transfer window.
