West Ham United are reportedly prepared to offer Stoke City £15m for Wales midfielder Joe Allen in the January transfer window.

West Ham United have reportedly prepared a £15m bid to sign Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old has played in all but two of Stoke's Premier League matches this season and has contributed three goals and five assists across all competitions.

According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes is eager to strengthen his midfield to aid the Hammers' relegation battle and wants to sign one or more player with Premier League experience, Allen fitting the bill.

However, the report claims that Stoke, themselves struggling in the top flight this season, have responded by saying that the Welshman is not for sale at any price.

The Potters are currently in 16th position in the Premier League table, two points ahead of West Ham, who occupy 18th place.
