West Ham United defender Reece Oxford will not force his way out of the London Stadium in January, according to a report.

Reece Oxford will reportedly not push for a move away from West Ham United in January as he is happy to stay and fight for his place.

The versatile defender has been linked with a return to Borussia Monchengladbach, where he spent last season on loan, after admitting that he is "angry" with his lack of opportunities under Manuel Pellegrini.

Rather than force his way out of the London Stadium next year, however, the Daily Mail suggests that the England youth international is committed to breaking into Pellegrini's first-team plans.

Oxford does supposedly want assurances from the Chilean that he will be given a fair chance, though, and he will work tirelessly to prove himself.

Pellegrini has yet to use the 19-year-old this term, with his only appearances coming in the EFL Trophy.
