Former Fulham forward Mladen Petric is reportedly closing in on a move to West Ham United.
The free agent, who was released by the Cottagers at the end of last season, is believed to have been targeted by the Hammers following their failure to buy a new striker during the summer transfer window.
The Premier League outfit were close to re-signing Carlton Cole, but a failed medical thwarted the move, resulting in the Hammers opening advanced talks with Petric, according to BBC Sport.
West Ham are looking to strengthen their attacking threat following the news that Andy Carroll has suffered a foot injury.
