West Ham United have reportedly identified Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker as a transfer target for this summer's window.
Caulker moved to QPR from Cardiff City before the start of the season, but the club's struggles in their battle to avoid relegation has seen the 23-year-old linked with a number of clubs.
According to The Mirror, QPR rejected an approach from West Ham on transfer deadline day as Sam Allardyce attempted to add to his options for the latter stages of the season.
The Hammers are set to lose Winston Reid on a free transfer at the end of the season, with recent reports suggesting that the New Zealand international had agreed to move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Senegalese defender Kara Mbodj is also rumoured to have been targeted as a possible replacement for Reid.
