West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing experienced Portuguese forward Hugo Almeida.
The 30-year-old, who has scored 19 times in 56 appearances for his country, is available on a free transfer this summer after leaving Turkish outfit Besiktas.
A number of European clubs have been linked with a move, but according to the Evening Standard, the Hammers have emerged as the favourites to complete a deal.
West Ham are believed to be in the market for at least one more striker following another long-term injury to Andy Carroll.
