Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says that he is confident that his team can finish the season in the top half of the Premier League table.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez believes that his side are capable of finishing the Premier League campaign in the top half of the table.

The North West outfit have been in a relegation battle in their last two seasons but the Spanish boss is confident that if they remain consistent, the Latics can push up the table.

"We need to play well and get the positive results," said Martinez. "The moment we do that, we are capable of finishing in the top half of the table."

Wigan take on Liverpool, to whom Martinez was linked in the summer, at Anfield this Saturday.
