Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that Michal Zyro will be out for a "substantial" amount of time after suffering damage to multiple knee ligaments last night.
The Polish winger suffered the injury in Wolves' 2-1 win at MK Dons and could be out for around 12 months with the problem if it is a rupture of multiple ligaments.
Wolves head of medical Phil Hayward told the club website: "He will see a consultant this week and will undergo surgery once the swelling has subsided at some point in the next two weeks.
"He is expected to be out for a considerable time, and the timeframe will become more apparent following the surgery."
Zyro, who joined Wolves in January from Legia Warsaw, had scored three goals in seven Championship games for the Black Country outfit.
