Current form frustrates Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken concedes that he is unhappy with his team's current form.

Stale Solbakken has admitted that he can understand why some sections of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have opted to voice their unhappiness in recent weeks.

Despite making a good start to the season, Wolves dropped to eighth in the Championship table following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic.

Speaking after that match, Solbakken revealed that he is feeling the same strain as the fans.

"I understand fans' frustrations. No-one is more frustrated than us," said the manager. "We played poorly. We don't want to play like that – we want to control the game better and we weren't able to.

"The crowd got a bit anxious and I don't know if that had an effect on the game but it was a very untidy second half. We want to improve and show we're better than we were on Saturday.

"I didn't like the second half, not only because we didn't play at our best but also because we didn't have control. We lacked the combinations which would get us more clear-cut chances. We have to work on the training pitch to get better."

Solbakken took charge of the club during the summer.
