Kenny Jackett reflects on "frustrating" loss to Middlesbrough

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett admits that Middlesbrough were the deserved winners of their encounter on Friday night.

Kenny Jackett has admitted that Middlesbrough deserved their victory over his Wolverhampton Wanderers side last night.

A brace from Gaston Ramirez helped Boro return to the top of the Championship ahead of Saturday's fixtures, while another defeat left Jackett's charges firmly rooted in mid-table.

"I felt that Middlesbrough had the edge on us, they started both halves very strong," Jackett told Wolves Player. "We didn't get hold of George Friend or Albert Adomah, it opened up the space for Ramirez to come into the hole and he caused us plenty of problems as well.

"It was a frustrating night, we couldn't get hold of them. I was disappointed with how we conceded both goals. The first one, we should have attacked [the ball] and then Ramirez has come in around the back from a soft cross. There were three or four challenges leading up to the second goal we missed.

"Generally down their left, our right, they were very dominant, opened things up too many times and took control of the game."

Next up for Wolves is a home encounter with in-form Bristol City on Tuesday.
