Kenny Jackett: 'Sheyi Ojo can fill Bakary Sako void at Molineux'

Kenny Jackett suggests that on-loan Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo should be aiming to replicate the attacking influence that Bakary Sako had during his time at the club.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has urged Sheyi Ojo to match the impressive achievements of Bakary Sako.

Wolves have missed the attacking influence of Sako since he left to join Crystal Palace as a free agent in the summer.

Ojo has caught the eye since coming in on loan from Liverpool, however, and Jackett believes that the winger has a real chance of filling the void left by last season's top scorer.

"That is his aim. If he does that it means he will be doing well," the Wanderers boss is quoted as saying by the Shropshire Star. "I would be happy with that. It has to be his aim but he will be pleased with what he has done so far and happy with the game time he has got and the effect he has had.

"I think he has made an impact since he has been here. The early cup games he played in and then coming off the bench have been big features. He has also had starts against good sides, with the first two of those, Cardiff and Brighton, being pretty difficult. I am pleased he is here and can affect games.

"He is a natural wide-left player with good pace and I just feel he is going to continue to improve over the course of the season. He will want to be in a position where he is starting on a regular basis. He has seen plenty of game time so far and has deserved that."

Ojo has one goal and three assists in his nine appearances for the club to date.
