Wolves travel to Newcastle on Sunday after beating Chelsea on Wednesday.

Morgan Gibbs-White is ready for the Premier League but will not be rushed, according to boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 18-year-old midfielder impressed on his first top-flight start as Wolves beat Chelsea 2-1 on Wednesday.

He has played 11 times, making three starts, this term and could keep his place for Sunday's trip to Newcastle but Nuno will be careful with Gibbs-White's development.

Nuno said: "I can understand why people are so excited by him, which is normal, but sometimes people try to rush things which isn't the best thing to do.

"He doesn't have anything which has made him change. He's the same boy that he already was. He's humble, a hard worker, willing to learn and improve.

"He played really well against Chelsea, not only him, but the whole team also did a fantastic job.

"He's a good player now. He has a lot to learn. We have a very young squad, not only Morgan, and the spirit is improving and it should be always, no matter what the result.

"How we build is important for such a young squad. They spend a lot of time together, they are good friends and this is the best starting point for everything. It's all about the team."

Gibbs-White replaced the suspended Ruben Neves against Chelsea but Portugal international Neves is back for Sunday's game, although Jonny (knee) remains out.

Wednesday's win was Wolves' first in two months after losing to Cardiff, Watford, Brighton and Huddersfield but Nuno insisted his team does not have a motivation problem.

He added: "It doesn't have to do with that, it depends on the game. The game is unpredictable. You approach it with the same details and the game tells you.

"No-one had the answers to it. What is important is what happens before."
