Preview: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Arsenal

Wolverhampton Wanderers have just six matches to secure their Premier League status. Here, Sports Mole examines their chances of taking maximum points from Arsenal.

Time is running out for Wolverhampton Wanderers to secure their Premier League status for another season.

With six matches remaining, Terry Connor's side are bottom of the Premier League table and six points from safety.

Up next for the strugglers is a home encounter against Arsenal tomorrow night, a side that they have not defeated since September 1979.

Connor is expected to keep Roger Johnson on the bench for Arsenal's visit, meaning that Richard Stearman will continue in a centre-back role alongside Tottenham Hotspur loanee Sebastien Bassong.

Laurent Koscielny will be absent for Arsenal because of suspension, while Kieran Gibbs is a fitness doubt.

Gunners captain Robin van Persie has scored 36 goals in all competitions this season - two more than the entire Wolves squad has managed in the Premier League so far.
