Michael Jacobs: I've held "positive" talks with Kenny Jackett

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Michael Jacobs reveals that he has held "positive" talks with head coach Kenny Jackett ahead of the new season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Michael Jacobs has insisted that he is focused on earning a place in the club's starting lineup ahead of the new season.

Jacobs spent much of the last campaign out of the side and spent a spell on loan at Blackpool, but the former Derby County man has revealed that he has held "positive" talks with head coach Kenny Jackett since returning to the club for pre-season.

The 23-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I've had a good honest chat with the manager, he knows where I stand and I know where he stands, which is the main thing I needed to find out.

"I'm open to anything that's going to happen and my main priority is getting my head down and get a game here like I did before. At the minute, I'm a Wolves player and that's where I want to get my head down.

"What the manager said to me was positive, I get on well with him and I've had a good relationship since I signed, it was a positive conversation."

Jacobs played just 13 times for Wolves last season.
