Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert to bring in Championship experience

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert admits that he is looking to bring in players with Championship experience during the January transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Paul Lambert has indicated that the club will look to bring in new players during the January transfer window.

Despite 13 new arrivals in the summer, Wolves only sit above the Championship relegation zone on goal difference while Lambert has recorded just one point and seen his team score no goals during his first two games in charge at Molineux.

Lambert acknowledges that Wolves are in a fight for their survival in the second tier, and he has admitted that he is looking for players with Championship experience at the turn of the year.

The 47-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "Ideally we've got to get one or two who know the league. That's what we'll try and do.

"I've spoke to the owners and Kevin [Thelwell], who's been great about it. We're singing off the same hymn sheet which is important. We all know and recognise what we've got to try and do."

Wolves are next in action when they face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Thursday night.
