Jon Dadi Bodvarsson: Paul Lambert's vision "much clearer"

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson praises new manager Paul Lambert for being "much clearer" with his strategy for the squad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has claimed that new manager Paul Lambert is "much clearer" with his strategy for the players.

Former Aston Villa boss Lambert was appointed in the role earlier this month in the wake of Walter Zenga's dismissal after just 87 days in charge at Molineux.

Icelandic frontman Bodvarsson, who joined the club at the start of the season, admitted that Zenga's constant rotation of the first XI had made it difficult for the team to find a rhythm, but said that things now seem to be more stable under his successor.

"I think it's improving a lot," he told reporters. "The messages are much clearer now and the guys are taking it very well.

"There was a lot of rotation in the team [with Zenga]. Obviously a team has to rotate at times but in moments we did it too often in my opinion. That's maybe one of the reasons we weren't consistent enough.

"One of the biggest differences is the work rate in our game – we're playing faster, defending better as a unit. We're working on attacking and defending and things are improving. Paul came with a plan and it's a clear message for the guys on the team, what their job is. Everybody is taking it very positively and we're improving a lot."

Lambert will look to get his first win as Wolves manager this afternoon when playoff-chasing Sheffield Wednesday visit Molineux.
