Leicester City see off Yeovil Town

Leicester City secure three points away to Yeovil Town in the Championship.

Two second-half goals helped Leicester City to a vital win away to Yeovil Town as they continued their strong start to the season this evening.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock in the first half although Jamie Vardy and Lloyd Dyer combined midway through the first period before Dyer sliced his shot.

However, he made up for it nine minutes after the interval when he latched on to David Nugent's pass before hitting his shot across Yeovil keeper Wayne Hennessey into the bottom right-hand corner.

Leicester doubled their lead on 63 minutes after Ritchie De Laet was fouled in the area and Nugent put away the spot kick as the Foxes seemed on course for another win.

However, James Hayter pulled a goal back with five minutes to go from the penalty spot after being brought down by Liam Moore.

Leicester held and may feel they deserved the three points having created more opportunities and shading possession. For Yeovil, it was a first home league goal of the season but still leaves the Somerset club without a win.
