Preview: SV Zulte Waregem vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole previews Wigan Athletic's European debut against Zulte Waregem in Group D of the Europa League on Thursday.

Wigan Athletic get their first ever European campaign underway on Thursday when they travel to Belgium to face SV Zulte Waregem in Group D of the Europa League.

The Latics earned their place in the competition by upsetting Manchester City in last season's FA Cup final.

Owen Coyle's side have started the Championship season indifferently, taking eight points from their first six games. Meanwhile, Waregem are likely to be short of confidence after losing four of their opening seven matches domestically.

Grant Holt remains sidelined for the visitors with a knee problem, while the hosts have no fresh injury concerns.
