Jenson Button optimistic about Sepang prospects

Jenson Button believes that McLaren will be able to perform better than they did in Australia.

Jenson Button believes that McLaren can improve on their display at the Australian Grand Prix.

The Woking-based outfit qualified at the back of the grid in Melbourne, before Kevin Magnussen was forced out on the Parade Lap.

However, Button has suggested that that the constructor is capable of producing significant improvements at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

He told reporters: "We have quite a bit more power but are still working on driveability in some areas.

"I might have been wrong yesterday when I said we wouldn't race other cars: there might be that possibility."

McLaren finished fifth in the constructors' championship last season.
