A Spanish court has charged Barcelona with tax fraud in relation to the transfer of Brazilian star Neymar.
Controversy has surrounded Neymar's move to Camp Nou from Santos since the club were accused of being untruthful about the official fee for the player.
Now, it has emerged that Spanish prosecutors are requesting that tax records are shown regarding the deal, which was completed last summer.
According to The Guardian, a court spokesman said: "Judge Pablo Ruz has charged FC Barcelona with an infringement against the tax authority relating to the purchase of the Brazilian player."
Barca responded with a statement saying: "The club's actions have, at all times, regarding that operation [to sign Neymar] and in line with the available information, been fully compliant with existing law."
Neymar recently spoke out about the investigation regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds by defending himself and his father, who received money as part of the deal.
