TV host Piers Morgan will share £5,000 between two separate charities after losing a World Cup bet to Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton.
The two decided on the wager on Twitter after Barton backed Germany to beat Brazil in the semi-finals of the tournament, while Morgan gave his support to the hosts.
After Brazil were humiliated 7-1 in Belo Horizonte last night, Morgan promised to donate the cash to the charities of Barton's choice.
The 31-year-old requested that the money be split between the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool and the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.
@piersmorgan a 50/50 split if you would be so kind £2500 to @AlderHeyCharity and £2500 to @HJC_Official Thanks OldBoy #tallyho #easymoney
