Hull FC have come out on top in the Humberside derby against Hull Kingston Rovers at Craven Park this evening.
Michael Dobson kicked an early couple of points for the home side before Hull went over for the first time in the seventh minute through Ryan McGoldrick.
The visitors moved further ahead when Jordan Turner scored their second try before Jamie Foster kicked further points to give Hull a 12-point lead at the break.
Rovers came out stronger after the interval and went over when James Laithwaite bundled the ball down.
They couldn't continue their comeback, however, as Kirk Yeaman found space on the left before trotting over the try line.
Mickey Paea again reduced the deficit when Dobson broke clear for the hosts and fed Paea to sprint over under the posts.
Rovers stepped up the pace and moved to within two points of Hull when Josh Hodgson powered over the line.
The visitors regained an eight-point lead when Richard Whiting scored 14 minutes from time before the win was sealed through Tom Briscoe.
Foster ended the game with a flawless six from six with the boot.
