Zak Hardaker says that he is happy with his comeback for the Leeds Rhinos from a broken thumb and is looking forward to returning to his best.

Leeds Rhinos full-back Zak Hardaker has revealed that he is looking forward to an extended run in the team following his return from injury.

The 21-year-old was impressive in his side's 28-22 victory over the Warrington Wolves in the Super League on Sunday in what was his first match since recovering from a broken thumb.

"I was a bit stiff on Monday morning, but that's normal when you haven't played for a few weeks," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post. "Apart from that I feel really good and it was good to get back into the swing of things and back into the team.

"I have got the all-clear from the doctor and he says my hand's stronger than it was before, with the pin inside, so that's given me a bit of confidence and I didn't think about it during the game, so that's another good thing.

"I'm looking forward to this week's game now. I can't really feel it, so I've just got to keep training hard and playing my own game and that's all I can do."

Leeds are currently fifth in the Super League table.
