Tony Smith delighted by Warrington Wolves triumph over Leeds Rhinos

Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith heaps praise on his team following their 24-6 win over Leeds Rhinos in the Super League.

Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith has heaped praise on his players following their win over Leeds Rhinos in the Super League.

The Wolves earned a comprehensive 24-6 victory at home to the Rhinos on Friday to boost their playoff chances.

"In terms of effort it was [our best of the season]," Smith is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We had to dig deep there.

"By the end we had some people out on their feet. Effort-wise we covered up for each other. We knew that we were going to have to work hard because as you see, Leeds make it very tough for you to score tries."

Friday's win has seen Warrington move up to fifth place in the Super League table.
