Rhys Hanbury scores four tries as Widnes Vikings thrash Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 46-4 in the Super League.

Widnes Vikings have thrashed Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 46-4 in the Super League Qualifiers, after four tries by Rhys Hanbury.

Against the run of play Lloyd White got on the end of a Charley Runciman break to open the scoring.

Hanbury crossed after good play down the left from Runciman and Patrick Ah Van.

Hanbury then crossed for his second five minutes later before a White break set up Aaron Heremaia from the resulting kick off.

Widnes added another before half time when Aaron Heremaia crossed the line.

Hanbury then put Wakefield to the sword even more in the second half, touching down in the 42nd minute to extend Widnes's lead and complete his hat-trick.

Kevin Brown was next to go over, before Lee Smith pulled back a try for Wakefield.

Hanbury was in on the act again five minutes later and Patrick Flynn completed the scoring in the 65th minute.
