British and Irish Lions prop Gethin Jenkins looks likely to miss out on his side's opening tour match against the Barbarians on Saturday due to a calf problem.
The Wales captain suffered a calf strain during Toulon's Heineken Cup final triumph over Clermont Auvergne earlier this month, and is struggling to be fit for the Lions match in Hong Kong at the weekend.
However, Jenkins, who previously appeared on the tour in 2005 and 2009, is unlikely to miss out on the entire tour.
Jenkins was being challenged for his place by the likes of Matt Stevens, Mako Vunipola and Adam Jones who have all been training with the Lions from the start of the camp.
Rival front-rowers Dan Cole and Cian Healy, who have both been involved in domestic and European finals, are also in with a shout of a start.
The Lions will face the Western Force on Wednesday, June 8 following their encounter with the Baa-Baas.
