England coach Stuart Lancaster has challenged Owen Farrell to win back the number 10 shirt after being displaced by George Ford in the Six Nations.
Lancaster has stuck by Farrell as fly-half for the majority of his tenure as supremo, before injury gave Bath's Ford the chance to shine in an England shirt.
"George was exceptional for us during the Six Nations and for Bath beyond that, so Owen's going to have to go over and beyond that to get the shirt back off him," Lancaster told reporters.
The Yorkshireman confirmed that both players will be given the opportunity to impress over the course of the three World Cup warm-up games England have organised, which start with France at Twickenham on August 15.
Farrell has been capped 29 times by England, scoring 290 points.
