Gloucester Rugby have defeated Oyonnax 25-15 at the Stade Charles-Mathon to maintain their winning start to this season's European Challenge Cup.
Just one try was scored across the 80 minutes, with the match being settled on penalties throughout the game.
Greig Laidlaw kicked over the first of the evening on the five-minute mark, before Riaan Smit levelled up the scores in similar style shortly after.
Both players kicked over a further two times before the interval, ensuring that the sides went into the break all square at 9-9.
Matt Kvesic finally touched down for the first try on 47 minutes to edge Gloucester ahead, before Laidlaw found the sticks with his conversion to further strengthen his team's advantage.
Smit and Laidlaw both added to their penalty counts, while Regis Lespinas also found the sticks for Oyonnox as the game remained tightly fought.
Laidlaw successfully dispatched two more penalties in the final ten minutes to put the game beyond doubt, however, condemning the Top 14 club to their first defeat in the competition this term.
