Ireland's Rob Kearney ruled out of Six Nations clash against Scotland

Ireland confirm that Rob Kearney will not be fit for Saturday's Six Nations clash against Scotland.

Ireland have confirmed that Rob Kearney will play no part in Saturday's Six Nations clash against Scotland due to a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old was absent for last weekend's 58-15 victory over Italy and after assessment, he has been deemed unfit to play at the Aviva Stadium this weekend.

Simon Zebo is expected to fill in at full-back after he deputised for Kearney in the clash against Italy.

A statement from the Irish Rugby Football Union read: "Rob Kearney's hamstring hasn't recovered sufficiently and he will not be involved in Ireland camp this week."

Munster's Andrew Conway has been called up to act as cover.
