Leinster coach Joe Schmidt has revealed that he will hold talks over the vacant Ireland job later this week.
The Irish Rugby Football Union are currently looking for someone to take charge of the national side following Declan Kidney's recent departure from the role.
"I'm going to speak to them this week," Schmidt told Sky Sports News. "If they believe I'm a contender, it's something I've also got to reconcile with Leinster and my commitment here."
Schmidt has one year left to run on his contract with Leinster.
