Saracens will play Northampton Saints in the Aviva Premiership playoff semi-finals after beating Bath 23-14 this afternoon.

Saracens secured a 23-14 win over Bath in the final round of fixtures in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.

Chris Ashton and Mako Vunipola both crossed the whitewash in the first half to put Saracens in a comfortable position, but Owen Farrell was sent to the sin bin for a high tackle on Tom Heathcote.

The numerical advantage allowed the visitors to send Rob Webber in for a try to keep them in the game at half time.

Farrell scored a try at the start of the second half to increase the hosts' lead, before adding a 68th-minute penalty to put the league leaders 23-14 up heading into the closing minutes of the game.

Neither side threatened to add to the score in the final 10 minutes, allowing the home team to set up a playoff semi-final with Northampton Saints.
