Tendai Mtawarira: "We believe in ourselves"

South Africa prop Tendai Mtawarira tells Sports Mole that the team believe in themselves after securing their first win of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Tendai Mtawarira has insisted that South Africa believe in their own ability following their convincing 46-6 win over Samoa at the Rugby World Cup.

The two-time champions were stunned by Japan in their opening match of the tournament, but recovered to get their first win on the board at Villa Park.

Speaking to Sports Mole after the match, the prop said: "I think there's a lot of critics out there, people are always quick to pull you down. But, the fact of the matter is we believe in ourselves, we've regrouped and we know what we can do as a team.

"For us, it's a step-by-step, day-by day thing, we're focusing on Scotland now and the next game, so we still have to keep on bringing the momentum."

South Africa take on Vern Cotter's side in Newcastle next weekend.
