Veteran forward Paul O'Connell has signed a two-year contract to play for European champions Toulon.
The Irish second row has spent his entire career with Munster and was contracted to play for them until 2016, but they agreed to release him early so he could move to France.
Toulon announced the move just hours before the transfer deadline last night.
The 35-year-old will quit international rugby after the World Cup later this year, having won three Six Nations titles.
