Team GB's Charlie Maddock has secured a place in the semi-finals of the women's -49kg taekwondo event at the European Games in Baku this afternoon.
The 19-year-old, who came through a close battle with Iryna Romoldanova of Ukraine earlier, cruised to a 17-3 victory over Italy's Erica Nicoli in the quarter-finals.
Maddock made her mark early on with two offensive head kicks in the first round, before completing a string of offensive kicks in the second.
Maddock will face either Hungary's Ivett Gonda or Yasmina Aziez of France for a place in the gold-medal match later today.
