The Canadian beat Benjamin Becker in round three to set up a meeting with 12th seed Feliciano Lopez in the next round.

The eighth seed told reporters: "I'm happy with how I'm playing. I can't complain, everything has been working for me on this court and the results have been good. My game feels great and I'm having a lot of fun. I look forward to going on."

Raonic has reached the fourth round twice before, but never been further in the competition.
