Marin Cilic ousts Tommy Robredo in Indian Wells

Marin Cilic overcomes Tommy Robredo 6-4 6-3 to progress to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Marin Cilic needed just one break in each set to overcome Tommy Robredo and progress to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells this afternoon.

The first set was incredibly tight, with Cilic offering up the one and only break point early on before he snapped Robredo's serve to love out of nowhere in the 10th game to win the set 6-4.

The 24th seed then broke Robredo at the first time of asking in the second before going on to serve out the match 6-3, knocking out the 16th seed in one hour and 23 minutes on his fifth match point.

Cilic is likely to face second seed Novak Djokovic in the fourth round. The Serb faces unseeded Spaniard Alejandro Gonzalez later this evening.
