Roger Federer has sealed his place in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells with a straight-sets victory over Denis Istomin.
The Swiss came out of the blocks quickly and eased to victory in the first set, breaking the 26-year-old twice in a 6-2 win.
It was the same in the second set as Federer dominated and sealed the game with a 6-3 win, taking less than an hour to dispatch Istomin.
Federer will face Croatia's Ivan Dodig in the third round.
