Adrian Mannarino has advanced to the last 16 of the BNP Paribas Open thanks to a straight-sets win over Ernests Gulbis this afternoon.
The Frenchman needed just 47 minutes to claim the first set from the Latvian after breaking serve in the first game.
Following a wobble that saw Gulbis peg the game to 2-2, Mannarino recovered to break again and ultimately win the set 6-4.
In the second set, the Frenchman broke serve against his opponent at 4-3 saw out the action with ease, winning 6-4 in 43 minutes and claiming the match.
Mannarino will play the winner of the match between Andy Murray and Philipp Kohlschreiber.
