Kaia Kanepi is through to the third round of the Madrid Masters after she defeated Carla Suarez Navarro in straight sets.
The Estonian player had too much for her higher-ranked opponent, and quickly secured her passage to the next round with a 6-3 6-1 victory.
The world number 51 dominated Navarro's serve during the first set, allowing the Spaniard just nine points as she eased into a one-set advantage.
Kanepi raced into a 3-0 lead at the start of the second, before saving three break points in moving two games away from the win.
Navarro reduced the deficit, but it didn't prevent Kanepi from quickly sealing the next two games to secure her place in the third round.
