Angelique Kerber has been comfortably beaten in straight sets by Sorana Cirstea in round three of the Miami Masters.
Despite moving into a 3-1 lead in the opening set, the German sixth seed was pegged back before Sirstea clinched it 6-4.
The second set was a one-sided affair as the Romanian, seeded 25th, closed out the match 6-0 with one hour played.
Cirstea will now meet 22nd seed Jelena Jankovic for a place in the quarter-finals.
