Andy Murray booked his place in the last four of the Miami Open with a 3-6 6-4 6-1 win over Dominic Thiem on Wednesday evening.

Thiem took control of the first set and had Murray on the back foot throughout, before the British number one stormed back in the second.

Murray rallied in the second to even the match up with an assured display, before turning in a dominant performance in the third to secure his passage into the semi-finals of the tournament with his 501st career win.

The Scot will now face Tomas Berdych or Juan Monaco for a place in the final.

Meanwhile, Serena Williams booked her place in the last four with victory over Sabine Lisicki.
