Heather Watson has reached round two of the Aegon Classic in Birmingham by beating Hungary's Melinda Czink in straight sets.
The British number two, who recently returned to action following a lengthy absence through illness, broke her opponent once to take a tight opening set 6-4.
The 21-year-old missed the chance to serve out the match at 5-4 in the second, but it mattered little as she stormed to a 7-0 victory in the tie-break.
Watson's opponent in the next round will be Russian Alla Kudryavtseva.
