Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has advanced into the Rogers Cup semi-finals in Montreal with a 6-4 6-4 straight sets victory over Nicolas Almagro.
The 26-year-old, who defeated Roger Federer in the previous round, put his Spanish opponent away in less than 90 minutes, needing a single break in either set.
Tsonga extends his record against the world number 10 to six wins without defeat.
The world number 16 will play world number one Novak Djokovic after the Serb defeated Gael Monfils in straight sets 6-2 6-1 in the other quarter-final.
