Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has booked his place in the final of the Rogers Cup having defeated Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-3 in Toronto.
The first set went by way of serve until the ninth game which saw Dimitrov miss out, allowing his French opponent to edge ahead and take the opener.
Dimitrov lost serve on two occasions in the second set with Tsonga - who battled past Britain's Andy Murray yesterday to reach this stage - making the most of the opportunities to take command and record a straight-sets win over the world number eight.
Feliciano Lopez and Roger Federer meet in the second semi-final in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
