Rafael Nadal still undecided on Rio

Rafael Nadal admits that he is still undecided whether to participate at the Rio Olympics this month.

Rafael Nadal has admitted that he is still uncertain whether he will compete at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this month.

The 30-year-old Spaniard has been out of action for a few months with a wrist injury and pulled out of Wimbledon in order to focus on being fit for the Games, which begin this Friday.

Nadal's uncle and trainer Toni revealed last week that he was optimistic of his nephew's chances but after arriving in Brazil on Sunday, Nadal revealed that he is still deciding whether to compete in the tournament.

"I will not be at the best level in any of the categories," Nadal, who was forced to sit out of the London 2012 Olympics through injury, told reporters at a press conference in Rio.

"I have not competed for two months and I have not trained a lot. I will train a few days here to see what I can do and then decide what is best, to be more positive for me and the team."

Nadal is due to compete in the singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles events in the tennis tournament, which is already without Roger Federer due to injury. Milos Raonic and doubles duo the Bryan brothers will also be absent in Rio due to fears over the Zika virus.
